Press Release: International Documentary Awards Announced

Invitations are now open for the 2009 IAWRT International Awards for Excellence. Program makers have until Friday 16 October 2009 to submit an entry.

IAWRT will launced a new book on the history of the radio and TV association at its Biennial Conference in Cambodia in November.

Scholarships totalling US$12,000 have been awarded to four members of IAWRT to help pay for attendance at courses or part-finance continuing studies.

The IAWRT Board is recommending the funding of 13 short radio and television documentaries by women about women.

IAWRT has had a very active and productive first six months of the 2009 financial year, with solid achievements against goals.
